Seven Star Foundation

Charge II

Send the messengers.

God anoints individuals and families to go out into the world. Being called is an honor. It is also a language, a lease, a school, and a long obedience in a country that is not yet home.

The work

Keep your eyes on the Word. We will attend to the journey.

From establishing yourself and your family in a country that is foreign, where learning a new world and a new culture takes time — the costs are real, and they are rarely the ones named from a pulpit.

The Seven Star Foundation’s goal is that you would be focused on bringing God’s Word to the people, while we focus on supporting you. This is not patronage. It is the material act of sending.

How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news of good things.

Romans 10:15

What support covers

  • Establishment

The first year in a country that is not yet home — housing, language, the unglamorous architecture of a life that can bear fruit.

  • The family

Those who are sent rarely go alone. Support that forgets the spouse and the children is support that will not last.

  • Sending churches

Many congregations carry a calling larger than their budget. We stand with them so a vocation is not rationed by what a single church can underwrite.

  • The far road

Our charge is that the messenger would be free to preach, to teach, to stay — while we attend to the weight that would otherwise call them home too soon.

Sending churches

A vocation should not be rationed by a single budget.

Many congregations carry a calling larger than their present means. We stand with them — and with the families they send — so that a field is not abandoned for want of rent, or a child’s clinic visit, or the first year’s establishment.
