The name
Seven stars
Light placed in a human hand, and sent.
In the Revelation to John, the risen Christ holds seven stars in His right hand. The text is not vague about what they are. They are the messengers of the seven churches — light, placed in a human hand, and sent into the dark.
We take our name from that image. Not as ornament. As a charge. Hunger is a darkness of a particular kind. Distance is another. A foundation worthy of its gifts would meet both: the empty plate nearby, and the far road where someone has been asked to carry good news.
Seven is the number Scripture uses when a thing is complete. We do not claim completion. We claim a direction. Feed. Send. Steward. Remain.
The Foundation is being established in 2027, from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. The work will not be finished in a year. It is not meant to be.
“In His right hand He held seven stars… the seven stars are the angels of the seven churches.”
Revelation 1:16, 1:20
